When Internet Explorer first hit the Web, most of us
laughed and kept on using Netscape Communicator. But then something strange
happened: Netscape lost its momentum, and IE quickly stepped up to fill the
void. Now faster than a speeding data packet (and Netscape Navigator),
Internet Explorer has become our Web browser of choice, as well as the most
downloaded browser at Download.com. And no wonder: IE comes armed with its
pioneering Radio toolbar (which pumps out tunes while you surf the Net),
AutoComplete (which fills in Web forms automatically), integration with
Hotmail (Microsoft's online email client), and blazingly fast performance.
Until Netscape comes out (at long last) with Communicator 5.0, we'll stick
with IE when we surf the Web.
